The long-term vision of Common Branch is two- fold. One, we hope to make a basic herbal education available to everyone, for free. Education will always be at the heart of what we do here at the school.
The second part of our vision is all about community (just like in our name!) Herbalism has always been a community endeavor, and we hope to grow a thriving, bustling herbal community here in north Georgia. We have partnered with Wrens Nest Center for Wellbeing to create an herbal learning garden and outdoor classroom. Our goals are to host herbalists from around the U.S. for free or low-cost lectures and workshops, and to start a free herb clinic to serve Murray, Whitfield and Gordon Counties.
Where are we now? We have partnered with The Wrens Nest Center for Wellbeing in Dalton, Georgia to bring our dreams of an herbal learning garden and outdoor classroom to life! Stay tuned as we update our calendar of events.
Where are you located? We are located in Dalton, Georgia.
Where does Common Branch hope to be in a year's time? We hope that within one year we will officially be a nonprofit. We hope to make the Core Curriculum available in PDF download on our website, and to be hosting Common Branch Workshops at least once a month. From there, we feel that we will be in a position to begin working towards our other big goals, too!
